RIDE & SEEK - Kids Tour
Welcome to Ride & Seek, a kid-powered city adventure co-created with Sunshine City With Kids, St. Pete’s go-to family fun experts.
Hop aboard for a one of a kind city adventure made just for kids. This collaboration turns St Pete into a playground of curiosity with bubbles, singalongs, scavenger hunts, silly “tour guide” moments, and surprise games along the way.
Little explorers get to lead the fun while grown ups relax, enjoy the sights, and soak in that rare parent victory called “everyone is happy at once.”

Trolley Adventure
Spark their curiosity from the seat.
Kids ride like explorers on a moving playground. Bubbles, sing-alongs, scavenger clues, silly guide moments and city secrets make the journey the first “wow.”
Playground Stop
Climb, zoom, wiggle, repeat.
Run, slide, wave at airplanes and boats, and spot the sparkling Dali dome. This is the place where little legs burn energy and big smiles happen fast.
Picnic and Play
Snack, stretch, breathe.
Our adventure pauses in a palm-filled garden where little explorers refuel and reset. Kids wander shaded paths, count palm trees, spot squirrels and birds, and enjoy a peaceful picnic moment before hopping back aboard.
Sweet Finish
The cherry on top.
Every explorer earns a treat. We stop for real Italian gelato where kids celebrate their scavenger wins, pick their favorite flavors, and enjoy the simple magic of a cold scoop on a sunny St. Pete day. Smiles guaranteed.
FAQ
How long is the tour and how much time do we spend at each stop?
The Ride & Seek Kids Tour lasts about two hours and is a mix of trolley fun and outdoor play. We begin with a trolley scavenger hunt and city sights as we head to our first stop.
The tour includes:
• Trolley ride with games & scavenger hunt
• Stop 1: Albert Whitted Playground (about 20–25 minutes)
• Trolley ride to our next park with more clues and kid-friendly facts
• Stop 2: Picnic & nature walk at the Gizella Kopsick Palm Arboretum (about 20–25 minutes)
• Gelato stop at Paciugo on Beach Drive
• Ride back to the starting point with a fun recap
Kids are engaged throughout the entire trip with play, discovery, and interactive moments.
Who leads the tour and interacts with the kids?
Our Ride & Seek tours are led by Abi, a former preschool educator with a natural talent for engaging young children. She has experience working in early-childhood settings and knows how to make every moment fun, gentle, and encouraging.
Kids gravitate to her joyful energy, and parents appreciate her calm, patient presence. Guiding this tour isn’t “work” for her, it’s play. Between songs, scavenger clues, silly moments, and kid-led discoveries, she makes every child feel seen and included.
Families regularly tell us Abi is one of the highlights of the experience.
Is ice cream included and where do we get it?
Yes. Every child’s ticket includes a gelato treat at Paciugo Gelato & Caffé, located on beautiful Beach Drive. This is our final stop before returning to the starting point.
The trolley drops families off right at Paciugo, and each child receives a special sticker to redeem for their gelato. Kids then hop back on board to enjoy their sweet treat on the trolley, because enjoying ice cream on a trolley is part of the fun.
Parents are welcome to purchase their own gelato or coffee at the shop. Children’s gelato is included with the tour ticket.
Paciugo address: 300 Beach Dr NE #120, St. Petersburg, FL 33701
Should we bring snacks, drinks, or anything else for the kids?
We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, hats, and light snacks. The tour includes a picnic break at the palm garden, so bringing a small picnic blanket is encouraged.
If you’d like, you can also bring a small cooler or snack bag. While there is not a dedicated storage area on board, small bags can be placed under your seat for easy access during the ride.
What ages is this designed for? Can siblings outside the range join?
The Ride & Seek tour is designed for children approximately 2 to 10 years old. This age range fits the activities, playful narration, and pace of the experience.
That said, siblings outside this range are welcome to join as long as they are accompanied by an adult and ready for a kid-focused adventure. Babies and toddlers can ride along, and older siblings often enjoy helping younger explorers.
Infants who ride on a parent’s lap or in their arms do not require a seat and are free of charge. Please note that infants do not receive ice cream as part of the tour.
Can we book a private Ride & Seek tour for birthdays or groups?
Yes. We offer private Ride & Seek tours that are perfect for birthdays, school groups, playgroups, and special celebrations.
You can choose between two trolley sizes:
• 20-passenger trolley: $1,200
• 30-passenger trolley: $1,500

To check availability and start planning your private adventure, please contact our team. We are happy to help create a memorable and kid-friendly experience for your group.
Do parents stay with the kids during the tour?
Yes. This is a family-participation experience, not a drop-off program. Parents or caregivers stay on board and enjoy the tour together with their child.
Adults get to relax, take in the sights, and enjoy the playful ride while little explorers lead the fun. It is a shared outing designed for family connection and easy, low-stress enjoyment.
Is there room for strollers or bags onboard?
Strollers are not needed during the tour, since each stop is close to where the trolley parks. Families are welcome to leave strollers at the Star Trolley headquarters or in their car before boarding.
Small bags, diaper bags, and backpacks are welcome. They can be placed under your seat or left on the trolley while we explore each stop. The trolley always remains nearby during activities, so your belongings stay safe and accessible.
What happens if it rains?
Light rain does not stop our adventure. The trolley is covered, and we can adjust activities as needed to keep the experience fun and comfortable.
If severe weather is expected, we will notify families and provide options to reschedule or receive a credit toward a future tour. Our goal is to keep the experience safe, enjoyable, and stress-free for everyone.
How does the scavenger hunt work?
Each child receives a laminated scavenger card with pictures of items to find throughout the tour. These include murals, statues, boats, planes, animals, and other fun sights around St. Pete.
The hunt begins on the trolley and continues at each stop. Some items are spotted as we drive, while others are found up close during our playground and palm garden visits.
Our tour guide helps children look for each item, gives clues, and cheers on their discoveries. The scavenger hunt is simple, visual, and designed to make every moment fun, interactive, and rewarding.
